Sudbury
Park is a local community
park located on Skaha Lake in the community of Penticton, British
Columbia, Canada. The park is a day use park with a beautiful
sandy beach situated between Skaha Beach and Airport Beach.
The beach is popular for summer activities like
suntanning, swimming, water sports, picnicking, people watching
and relaxing.
Sudbury Park is open during the daylight hours
with a concession and washroom onsite for public use. There are
a few picnic tables and sitting benches in the park for picnicking.
A paved walking path between the road and the
sandy beach is also a recreation routes for walkers, joggers,
cyclists, sightseers and roller bladders.
Sudbury Beach is also a main point of entry used
to access Skaha Lake for wind surfers and kite boarders. The beach
is a popular launch site. It is especially busy in the off season
as the winds are stronger.
How to
Get to Sudbury Park:
Travel to the south end of the community of Penticton
and Sudbury Beach is easily located on Skaha Lake Rd.
